About Luke Littler

Crowned as the youngest ever PDC World Champion, Luke Littler’s meteoritic rise to sporting stardom has been one of biblical proportions.
After an emphatic full breakthrough season the teenage sensation deservedly reigned supreme on the Ally Pally stage, defeating Michael van Gerwen to lift the coveted Sid Waddell trophy at just 17-years of age.
Such was the strong expectation after a magnificent title littered twelve months, “The Nuke” justified his pre-tournament favourite tag to claim the ultimate darting accolade.
Bursting onto the scene in December 2023, Littler’s phenomenal performances on his maiden PDC World Championship campaign propelled the youngster into instant fame.
Long before eventual defeat to Luke Humphries in the final, a star was born. With an invitation to the esteemed Premier League graciously accepted, Littlermania had well and truly begun.
A flight to the Middle East after selection for the Bahrain Masters shortly followed. And in what was to become a familiar pattern, the Warringtonian returned holding a World Series trophy after exciting fans with a magical nine-darter.
Back on home soil, Luke travelled to neighbouring town Wigan for the opening Players Championship event of the year. Several hours later and the wonder-kid had doubled both his title and perfect leg tally.
It probably wasn’t too surprising when Littler’s European Tour debut at the Belgian Darts Open concluded in leaving Wieze with yet another piece of silverware. Less shocking was perhaps a monumental third tournament nine dart finish en route to overcoming Rob Cross in the final.
By the time the youngster had propelled himself to the top of the Premier League table, European Tour win number two was added with victory at the Austrian Darts Open.
With an elusive PDC TV title still absent from a glittering fresh darting repertoire, Littler soon amended the narrative with a stunning triumph over Luke Humphries at the O2 to become the youngest Premier League Champion in history.
A few weeks passed before success at the Polish Masters ended a dazzling six month inauguration to life as a professional.
Luke’s second prestigious television prize wasn’t too long in arriving as a September trip to Amsterdam culminated with the World Series of Darts trophy adorning a crammed Littler mantelpiece.
Immediately returning back to England and a short journey to Wigan completed a hatrick of Pro Tour wins for the season.
Wolverhampton hosted the setting for yet another distinguished honour with the decorated teenager lifting aloft the Gland Slam of Darts trophy, his first ranking TV major on home soil.
And with the perfect platform in place, Littler completed the first chapter of a fairytale story as he was crowned King of the Palace to become the 2025 PDC World Champion.
